Those souls born between June 22 and July 22 are Moon children and everybody’s surrogate mother or child. Fiercely protective, they appear hard on the outside like the shell of the crab and yet inside, they are soft and delicate creatures. They want to be adored under all circumstances and will test their relationships by acting out just to see what happens.
Cancerians, somewhat like Spock of Star Trek fame, are so emotional, that they sometimes feel it necessary to train themselves not to get involved. They are so sensitive, nurturing, feeling, compassionate, and caring that, like the crab, they side-step issues that may give them pain. As they protect others, they also protect themselves. They are sometimes self-absorbed, inventive, imaginative, cautious and intuitive.
Their best quality is tenacity. Once those pinchers get onto something, they don’t want to let go. This quality especially pertains to relationships, particularly with their children. As far as a Cancerian is concerned, their children can live with them forever! Incarnating the Moon as they do, they tend to wax and wane in their moodiness, which is their worst quality.
If the King of Cups should appear in a spread, it represents a man with this temperament or an aspect of the querent’s nature. If the card is reversed in a spread, it represents a woman with the same personality traits.
