The key phrase for the mundane interpretation of the Seven of Coins is MONEY EARNED THROUGH A JOURNEY.  Other mundane interpretations might be:

Directed mental energy solves a problem

Profit from writing, teaching, or publishing

Communication leading to financial gain

Cash in a letter

Intellectual victory

The key word for the astrological inner meaning of the Seven of Coins, based on the Gemini decanate of Gemini, sub-ruled by Mercury, is INTUITION.

This constellation is pictured in the heavens as Ursa Minor, the smaller of the two bear constellations positioned near the immovable Pole Star representing immovable truth.  The Pole Star is located on the tip of Ursa Minor’s tail.

There is no better way to explain the inner interpretation, ultimately to arrive at the spiritual message of the Seven of Coins, than by relating C.C. Zain’s version of the storybook tale of Goldlilocks and the Three Bears.  He named the Papa Bear REASON.  He named the Mama Bear IMPULSE, and he named the Baby Bear INTUITION.  During an unusually long walk through the forest picking flowers, Goldilocks came upon a house and, finding no one home, took it upon herself to enter.  On the kitchen table she found three bowls of porridge, one large, one medium and one small.  As the story goes, it was the smallest bowl, or Intuition’s bowl, that was just right portion for Goldilocks.  When Goldilocks went on to try out the chairs of the household and then the beds upstairs, in each case, it was Intuition’s chair and bed that was just right.  Finally, Goldilocks fell fast asleep in Intuition’s bed.  It was Baby Bear, Intuition, who discovered her there and tried to wake her gently in a quiet, wee voice.  But Papa and Mama, Reason and Impulse, came rushing toward the bed so fast that Goldilocks became frightened and ran away, even though Baby Bear only wanted to play with her.  The moral of the story is put forth as Zain writes from Spiritual Astrology:  “No time is quite so easy, as a rule, to hear the voice of Intuition as in this transition from the sleeping to the waking state, but its promptings must be carefully listened for and noted before thoughts (Reason and Impulse) begin to clamor in the mind.  Like the Little Bear’s tail, Intuition, is in constant touch with the (Pole Star of) truth, if only it can be carefully heeded.  The spiritual text is:  Only through intuition does man contact the real underlying truth of things.
